Canadian History Reading List

If you are a fan of learning through living books, this resource is for you. I happened to stumble across a fantastic weblist of fiction books completely about Canadian history. Nicola, The compiler of this book list has taken the time to not only list the books into sections and topics, but also lists approximate age ranges.

The list itself is several years old and needs a good updating with more recent book additions like the Dear Canada and Canadian Flyer series, for example, but it’s a great place to look before hitting up your local library for a subject!

Nicola’s Canadian History Reading List

I have taken this list and added all the newer books that I could find and people shared. You can find this list  on the Living Books list.

  1. It seems that Nicola’s site is down. Does anybody know if this is permanent? Can anybody contact her about re-releasing it? I’m having a minor cardiac arrest.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

    1. Oh no! I was just literally on it the other day, trying to work away at the list here. I never got it done yet (darned this homeschooling gig cutting into my blog work time!) Thanks for letting me know. I’ll see if I can find it – Jyl and I have emailed before. She was hosting it. I’ll see if she has a copy!
