Lester B. Pearson, who was known by many as “Mike” – a nickname he received during his time in WWII as a pilot, was known as a really nice guy.
The first Canadian to ever win a Nobel Peace Prize, his time in leadership was highlighted by furthering bilingualism and the official acceptance of the Canada flag we know today.
