Prime Ministers of Canada Resources: John Diefenbaker

John-DiefenbakerOften referred to as “The Chief,” John Diefenbaker was the 13th Prime Minister of Canada, leading our country from 1957 to 1963.

It was during his time as Prime Minister that the first Trans-Atlantic phone call was made, progress on the Arrow project was stopped, the Bill of Rights was put in place, and Native peoples were given the right to vote.
