Canadian History for Kids

If you are teaching your kids Canadian history, be sure to stop by the site, Canadian History for Kids – where Mickey Maple has been hard at work.

First, visit the Sketches of Canada section. Combining fun caricature style artwork with stories and insights, this section is a wealth of information on events, places and people from our history. For example, you will find a sketch on:

With five mysteries currently available in either a print or ebook format, you can follow along to help save Laura Secord, The BlueNose, Jacques Cartier’s canoe, the golden light of the Underground Railroad, and the bronze poppy from the Maple Leaf Museum.

A fun way to bring Canadian history to life, these full-colour books and adventures keep kids ages 7 and up active in the story and wanting to learn more.
