The Canadian Children’s Book Centre is a non-profit organization based out of Toronto with a goal to help promote reading to children and families.
“We are dedicated to encouraging, promoting and supporting the reading, writing, illustrating and publishing of Canadian books for young readers. Our programs, publications, and resources help teachers, librarians, booksellers and parents select the very best for young readers.”
They are the home of several Canadian book awards, programs such as Children’s Reading Week, and a large resources library.
For parents/teachers, their website offers some fantastic resources:

- links to activities, colouring sheets, and guides for a variety of books
- links to novel study materials/teacher’s guides for various books
- educational materials

- Best Books for Kids & Teens publication ($5.95/edition, but the archives are free!)
