Dear Homeschool Mom or Dad…. Letters from us in the field.

Dear Homeschool Mom or Dad,

How is your journey going? Is today a good day? A rough day? An amazing day? The day you want to throw in the towel? Do you feel alone or love the support around you? Are you looking for ideas or feel overwhelmed by all the options out there? Is there an excited gleam in your child’s eyes, or are they shooting daggers? Have you figured this thing out?

Trust me. You are not alone out there. Today, several other homeschoolers are writing letters to you, to themselves, to anyone who needs to hear.

Years of experience speak out.

I hope it encourages you on your journey.

Dear Homeschool Mom or Dad - letters from us in the field

Alexandra – Dear New Homeschool Mom or Dad

Dear New Homeschool Mom or Dad,

Take a deep breath and let it out with a big sigh! You have made the decision to go against the norm and homeschooling might be the biggest, most wonderful adventure you will get to have as a parent! It can also be the source of a lot of stress and a lot of doubt.

Krina – Dear Discouraged Homeschooling Mama

Oh mama … I know. The weight of it is heavy and your shoulders are tired from packing around that heavy load. It isn’t an easy path you have chosen. It isn’t the idyllic fantasy you perhaps hoped it would be. Those pictures you saw on all those homeschooling sites of happy, clean, obedient children smiling over their grammar sheets … have misled you, instilled a false vision of what this homeschooling life can look like.

Tammy – Dear Struggling Homeschool Mom

Dear Struggling Homeschool Mom,

Some days homeschooling is hard. Really hard. Today was a rough one for me. Maybe you can relate? It started off badly and just kept getting worse.

Andrea – The Post Where I Go Back to the Future…Or Dear Andrea

This is my 13th year homeschooling, but I think I’d like to tell my younger, idealistic self a few things about what to expect. Maybe I should be writing this when I’m done in six years and my youngest has graduated. Truly, I still have so much left to learn and my children are teaching me still so much about myself.

Annette – Dear Homeschool Mom

Dear Homeschool Mom.

As I type this letter I want to talk about things that I wish someone had talked to me about when I first started homeschooling.

Lisa – Dear parent starting your adventure in homeschooling

Dear parent starting your adventure in homeschooling,
So you have decided to homeschool … first off I want to say it will be awesome and totally worth it!!!
homeschooling isn’t about the destination but the journey itself!
