Every year, on a Saturday in early May, don’t miss out on participating in Science Rendez-Vous – an annual one day, free science festival where people can come play and learn in fun and unique ways. Started in 2008 in the GTA, this educational festival now has spread all across Ontario, and now is spreading across Canada. 2011 is the year of Chemistry, so many places are using that as their plan for the event.
Each location has a wide variety of events planned – some are full day activities and some are shorter, but all are brimming with great memories for the whole family. It’s really a great day of fun.
Current cities participating are: Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto, Oshawa, Guelph, Windsor, Kingston, Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax, Cape Breton, and St.John’s.
You can find out more about the details of what events are planned near you at http://www.sciencerendezvous.ca/ or visit their Facebook page.
