For Canadian Hockey Fans

Hockey Canada has a website specifically for children. You can check it out at : www.hockeycanada.ca/kids

The whole website is mascoted by a polar bear named Puckster and offers children the chance to learn more about hockey in Canada.

On the site, kids can:

  • Design their own hockey cards.
  • Play online games like “The OneTimer Challenge” and a skills challenge.
  • Watch videos from hockey players with tips of the game.
  • Download an activity guide, which is more like a small magazine. It’s full of games, pictures of tips, facts, and puzzles.
  • Download a copy of Puckster and Pals – a small comic series about the website mascot and his friends as they play hockey together.
  • Print out colouring sheets and games.
  • Find computer wallpaper.
  • Download an 11-page pamphlet about hockey, rules, and basics.

From there, older children can move to reading http://www.hockeycanada.ca/ ‘s main front page website with information about what’s going on in hockey nationally or visit websites of the Hockey Canada division that is closest to where they live  http://www.hockeycanada.ca/multimedia/kids/hcan/

Great Canadian resource for the hockey fans in our homes.
