How to play:
First, divide up your board (which can be a table, the floor, a poster board, etc) into six areas – using tape or string. Put an animal group name in each box.
From there, figure out what characteristic go with which group and then put the picture cards provided into the appropriate box that they belong to.
If you want to keep these for a while to reuse, you can laminate the cards to make them more durable.
Have fun learning about animal classification!

Got it! It’s fantastic
I am very interested in this game. It looks great!
This was an amazing resource! We used it to introduce the unit and let students put the animals into different groups to see what their prior knowledge was. I plan on using it as a review at the end of the unit too. This is probably the best free resource ever! Thank you so much for sharing 🙂
I am so glad to hear that this was such a great resource for you! Thanks so much for your feedback 🙂

Thank you! This is perfect to coincide with our our animal classification study.
Thank you!!!
Thank you so much. It is beautiful and usefull for my class.
Looks great, but just noticed that what is labelled a beetle is actually a true bug, which is a different order. Something like an assassin bug?https://citybugs.tamu.edu/factsheets/landscape/others/ent-1003/
Wouldn’t ordinarily be a big deal, but it is a classification game 😀
Interesting. Assassin bug sounds…. amazing?! As long as they are still technically classified under “Insect” I’m happy 😀
Great resources.Thank you for having them available to all for free.God bless you!!
I’m from Indonesia and thanks for sharing this
